STAT OF THE GAME: The Shorebirds have just one stolen base in their last five games. With the departure of Trent Mummey, 12 of their 19 total stolen bases are gone.

PREVIEW: Following a 7-3 win in game one, the Shorebirds aim for a fifth straight win in game two against Savannah. The Shorebirds used a five-run second inning and a seven-inning gem from Tim Adleman to top the Sand Gnats. Steve Bumbry and Manny Machado connected on their first home runs of the 2011 season. The Shorebirds season long winning streak last season was six games, accomplished twice (6/14-6/19 & 7/11-7/17).

QUICKEST OF THE YEAR: Last night's game was the quickest nine-inning game of the season (2:16). The Shorebirds had played seven straight games over two hours and forty minutes.

NO WALKS: The combination of Tim Adleman and Jason Gurka went the full nine innings last night without walking a single batter. It marks the first time this season that the Shorebirds have not walked a single batter in a game.

101 RUNS: The Shorebirds have scored 101 runs in 18 games this season (5.61 per game).

BEST INNING OF THE YEAR: The five-run second inning was the highest scoring half inning of the 2011 season for Delmarva. The inning was highlighted by a Machado three-run blast to left-center field.

A CHANGING PARK': In nine games at Perdue Stadium this season, there have been 16 home runs hit between the Shorebirds (5) and the opposition (11). In 71 home games last season, there were 70 home runs hit between the Shorebirds and their opponents.

WELCOME BACK BUMBRY: On the fourth pitch he saw in the first inning, Steve Bumbry hit an opposite field home run in his first at-bat since being transferred from Frederick. He hit just four home runs last season in 372 at-bats.

ONE BULLPEN ARM: Last night marked just the second time this season that the Shorebirds used just one man out of the pen. On April 10, Jacob Pettit threw seven innings and Aaron Swenson tossed the final two to beat Greensboro 9-1.

FIVE OR MORE: The Shorebirds have scored five or more runs in 11 straight games. The last time the Shorebirds scored under five runs was on April 13 when they scored three against Kannapolis.

17 K'S IN 11.2 IP: Jason Gurka has fanned 17 batters in just 11.2 innings pitched this season. He leads the Shorebirds pitching staff in strikeouts. Gurka is tied for third in the SAL in strikeouts amongst relief pitchers. Juan Rodriguez of Greenville leads the loop with 21.

MORE PATIENCE: Mychal Givens has drawn one walk in each of the last four games. He did not draw one single walk in his first 12 games of the season.

POPE WALKING MORE: In 300 career minor league games entering 2011, Kieron Pope had only walked 66 times. This season, he has eight walks in 17 games played. He has never walked more than 21 times in a single season (2008).

DEBUT IN FREDERICK: Trent Mummey had an outstanding debut in Frederick last night. Against the Winston-Salem Dash, he went 4-for-6 with a double, triple and five RBIs. He also scored two runs in a 14-7 Frederick win.
