Sacramento River Cats News Release

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA - Outfielder Chris Shaw drove in three of the club's eight runs as the Sacramento River Cats (18-15) increased their winning streak to five games in an 8-4 victory over the Salt Lake Bees (20-14).

Equally as important as Shaw's RBIs were outfielder Eury Perez's three runs scored. He reached base four times, via three singles and a hit-by-pitch, for his second three-hit performance of the season and third multi-hit game in a row. He added two stolen bases, as well.

River Cats starter Jose Flores was in a rhythm to open the game, retiring eight of the first nine batters he faced. The right-hander posted a season-high seven strikeouts in his 5.1 innings of work, walking one and allowing two earned runs.

Right-hander Tyler Beede (1-2, 4.84) will be on the mound to make just his second home start of the year while the Bees will counter with righty Osmer Morales (1-2, 7.67). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. (PT). Catch all of the action live online at rivercats.com, on the MiLB First Pitch app, and on the air on Money 105.5 FM.

Additional Notes

- Austin Slater has recorded as many doubles this season as he has singles. He's tied atop the Pacific Coast League leaderboard with 13 two-baggers.

- The River Cats stole a season-high three bases Wednesday afternoon, including two from Eury Perez to become the first River Cat with two steals in a game this year.
