Tacoma Uses Big Ninth to down Chihuahuas

The Tacoma Rainiers broke a late tie with a four-run top of the ninth inning Tuesday and beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 10-6. It was the first meeting of the season between the two teams. The Chihuahuas have dropped four consecutive games.

Franmil Reyes went 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI and now has multiple hits in eight consecutive games. He has a nine-game hitting streak overall and has compiled 16 RBIs in eight games this month.

Reliever Kazuhisa Makita pitched two scoreless innings for the Chihuahuas on the day he arrived to El Paso. The Chihuahuas' opponent has scored first in all four games of El Paso's current losing streak.
