The Salt Lake Bees dropped their second consecutive game in Sacramento, as they lost 8-4 to the River Cats on Wednesday afternoon.

With the game tied at 2-2, Sacramento took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Austin Slater and an RBI single by Chris Shaw to take a 4-2 advantage over Salt Lake. The Bees would get one of those runs back in the sixth, as Jose Miguel Fernandez led off with double, advanced to third on a single by Chris Carter and scored on a sacrifice fly by Rymer Liriano. The River Cats would break the game open with four runs in the seventh with the first six batters all delivering a hit.

Salt Lake starter Felix Pena (0-1) took the loss, as he went four and two-third innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on six hits with a season high eight strikeouts and one walk. Jordan Jankowski worked a three up, three down ninth inning. Dustin Ackley extended his hitting streak to five games with two hits, including his second home run in the five games he's played in. Michael Hermosillo would had two hits, while Fletcher and Liriano each drove in a run. The Bees have now lost three straight to equal their longest skid of the season.
