
Seventh Annual Corridor Classic Tomorrow Night

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels will host the seventh annual Corridor Classic game, between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Coe Kohawks, at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, May 4th at 6:30 pm.
Gates will open at 5:00 pm as boys and girls will have an opportunity to go onto the field and play catch with the Iowa and Coe players from 5:45 until 6:15 pm. Iowa will be the home team and occupy the third base dugout and Coe is the visiting team and will be in the first base dugout.
Coe football head coach Steve Staker, the Liberty Mutual Division III National Coach of the Year, will be honored in a pre-game ceremony starting at 6:15 pm. Coe Women's Basketball Head Coach Randi Peterson and Iowa Women's Basketball Head Coach Lisa Bluder, along with Coach Staker will throw out the game's ceremonial first pitches.
Tickets for the seventh annual Corridor Classic game are $7 and are available by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at 896-7560. The Kernels Ticket Office opens at 10 am on Tuesday and all seats are general admission. The Randy Kuehl Honfidence Pavilion is also open to the public with a ticket and all you can eat and drink package for $25.
