
Sens Inaugural Golf Classic a Resounding Success

The first 'Senators Golf Classic presented by Shorelines Casino Belleville' held at Black Bear Ridge Golf Course was a resounding success as more than $25,000 was raised for the Three Oaks Foundation Thursday.
Through the groups that played in the tournament, alongside the donations, silent and live auctions, as well as an additional donation of $5,000 from Shorelines Casino, $25,827 was donated to the Three Oaks Foundation who provide shelter and services for abused women and their children.
"Thank you to the Belleville Senators and Shorelines Casino for yesterday's stellar event," said Three Oaks Foundation executive director Sandy Watson-Moyles. "Not only did everyone have loads of fun they also helped raise much needed funds for Three Oaks. Our sincerest appreciation is also given for the immense kindness and respect shown to our team, our agency and the women we work with each and every day. You truly have no idea what all if this means to us. Again, on behalf of all if us at Three Oak, thank you."
The Senators Golf Classic saw 18 teams of three have the opportunity to play the beautiful Black Bear Ridge Golf Course with a Senators player.
"Shorelines Casino Belleville and our 256 employees were so happy to be the presenting sponsors of the Belleville Senators golf tournament, in support of our 2018 Charity of Choice, Three Oaks," said Ron Urquhart, executive director of the OGELP. "Our partnership with both of these fantastic organizations and their teams has been a real pleasure. The amazing work by the Belleville Senators, including their front office and many of their players to put on such an important, and fun, fundraiser at the beautiful Black Bear Ridge Golf Course will truly help make a difference in our community.
"We were proud to see so many in the area, and beyond, step up to help make a difference. Giving back to the communities we work in is something very important to Great Canadian Gaming Corporation coast-to-coast."
With the success of the first tournament, the Senators look forward to hosting its golf classic every year moving ahead.
