Senators Pitching Outlasts Sea Dogs, 1-0, in 10

The Senators defeated the Portland Sea Dogs 1-0 in 10 innings Friday night at Hadlock Field in Portland. The winning run scored for Harrisburg in the 10th without the benefit of a hit. Adrian Sanchez started as the free runner, he moved to third on a ground out and scored on a sac fly off the bat of Tres Barrera. Portland had their free runner thrown out at home with one out in the 10th on a ground ball to Ian Sagdal at first base. Both of Harrisburg's hits in the game came in the fourth inning. Not counting the free runner, the Senators had just three base runners in the game but still managed to win.

On Capitol Hill

Andrew Lee went six innings in his first AA start, allowing just four hits and striking out four. He pitched around a leadoff double in the second inning and finished his outing by retiring the Dogs in order in the sixth.

Jacob Condra-Bogan went two scoreless innings, striking out two and allowing a hit.

Jordan Mills earned the win, going 1.2 innings and allowing just a hit.

Aaron Barrett retired the only batter he faced and earned his 22nd save.

With the Gavel

Luis Garcia and Drew Ward had the only hits for the Sens.

Harrisburg stranded just three runners and went 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position.

Filibusters

- The Senators are 4-0 on their annual trek to New Hampshire and Portland. They've guaranteed themselves a winning road trip.

- Harrisburg has won five straight and is 12-10 in July.

The Senators play the Portland Sea Dogs in game two of a four-game series Friday night at Hadlock Field in Portland at 7 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:50 p.m.
