NEWS AND NOTES

A NEW TEAM IN TOWN: The Portland Sea Dogs begin part two of their homestand on Monday night, taking on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) at Hadlock Field...Portland took two of three from New Hampshire on May 7-9 in Maine...The 'Dogs dropped two of three to Reading to start the homestand, and play seven of the next 13 games at home...Lefty Matthew Kent makes his fifth career start against the 'Cats.

TENDLER TO THE RESCUE: RF Luke Tendler hit a pair of two-run homers on Sunday but his second gave Portland a 4-3 walk-off win over Reading...Tendler gave the 'Dogs a 2-1 lead with a two-run shot into the U.S. Cellular Pavilion in the seventh...RHP Adam Lau (1-2) allowed the go-ahead run in the ninth but notched his first win of the season...RHP Kutter Crawford dazzled in his Double-A debut, allowing one run on five hits over six innings pitched.
