Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs return to Hadlock Field on Friday, September 1st for the final four games of the regular season. The Sea Dogs are in the hunt for their second straight playoff appearance. The final regular season homestand is filled with various awards and presentations. Tickets are available for all four games and can be purchased by calling the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500 or on-line at www.seadogs.com.

Friday, September 1st @ 7:00 PM vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays)

Allied Home Mortgage Big Dog of the Year Presentation- The Sea Dogs player who has won the most player of the game awards from the 2006 season will be presented the Allied Home Mortgage Big Dog of the Year award. This presentation will take place at 6:30 PM on the field.

Saturday, September 2nd @ 6:00 PM vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays)

UnumProvident Sea Dogs Hall of Fame Announcement- Two more people will be inducted into the Portland Sea Dogs Hall of Fame. Last years inaugural class included Charles Johnson and Carlos Tosca. To be eligible you must have debuted with the Sea Dogs at least ten years ago. On the ballot for 2006 are Edgar Renteria, Kevin Millar, Mike Redmond, and Billy McMillon. Non-playing nominees include Bob Ganley and John Boles. Sea Dogs fans have voted for their choices over the last few months. The selections will be announced in a pre-game ceremony at 5:45 PM.

Sunday, September 3rd @ 1:00 PM vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays)

Field of Dreams/ Fan Appreciation Day- One of the most popular games of the year, the players will wear replica 1926 Portland Eskimo uniforms and emerge from a cornfield that has been erected in centerfield. The players will then proceed into the stands to personally thank the fans for their support throughout the 2006 season. Media wishing to cover the event should arrive prior to 1:00 PM. No cameras will be allowed on the field while players are emerging from the makeshift cornfield. First pitch is scheduled for 1:20 PM.

Field of Dreams Scholarship Presentation- The Portland Sea Dogs and the Nextgen College Investing Plan will be presenting three scholarships to Maine students. The scholarship winners have been selected through a statewide essay contest. The winners will be announced during the middle of the 5th inning on top of the visitors dugout (third base side).

Monday, September 4th @ 1:00 PM vs. New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays)

Team Awards Presentation- Winners will be announced of the annual team awards. Awards will be presented for MVP, Pitcher of the Year, 10th Player, and Citizen of the Year. Winners are selected though fan voting. The team awards will be presented on-field at 12:40 PM.

HRH/ Habitat for Humanity Presentation- HRH of Northern New England will be making an on-field presentation to Habitat for Humanity. Throughout the season HRH has donated money for every hit collected by a Sea Dogs player. This presentation will take place at 12:35 PM.

Sea Dogs Magic Number at 4: The Portland Sea Dogs have their magic number to clinch a playoff spot down to four. Any combination of four Portland wins or Binghamton losses clinches a playoff spot for the Sea Dogs. Currently the Sea Dogs sit in second place, three games ahead of third place Binghamton for the final playoff spot. The Sea Dogs take on the Binghamton Mets again tonight at 7:00 PM in Binghamton and can clinch a playoff spot as early as Thursday evening. Portland looks for their second straight playoff appearance and fifth in franchise history.

Playoff Tickets: Playoff tickets are currently on sale at the Hadlock Field Box Office. Tickets are the same price as regular season tickets and range between $3.00 and $8.00. Eastern League playoffs start on September 6th. For tickets call the Sea Dogs Ticket Office at 207-879-9500.
