RECENTLY...The Aeros took three of five from Trenton on their last homestand.

YESTERDAY...OF BRAD SNYDER had an amazing night in the Aeros' 12-5 win over Altoona. Snyder's line: 4-4, 4 R, 1 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 1 BB.

TODAY...RHP JENSEN LEWIS takes the mound as the Aeros look to continue their momentum from last night's win.

PLAYOFF BOUND... The Aeros have clinched the 2006 Eastern League Southern Division regular season crown. This will mark the Aeros' fourth time in five seasons to participate in the Eastern League playoffs, winning a championship in 2003 and 2005. The playoffs begin on September 6 at Canal Park.

HIGH HONORS...RHP ADAM MILLER has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Year for 2006. Miller has been the ace of the Southern Division leading Akron pitching staff, compiling a record of 14-6 with a 2.80 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP while striking out 150 batters and walking 42 in 147.2 innings of work this season. The right-hander has been dominant for the Aeros all season, giving up one earned run or less in 15 of his 25 appearances and striking out at least seven batters in a game ten different times. Adam, a native of McKinney, Texas, is currently has the league lead in wins (14), and is also among the league leaders in shutouts (1-tied 3rd), ERA (2.80-3rd), strikeouts (150-3rd), WHIP (1.13-7th) and innings pitched (147.2-9th).

MORE HIGH HONORS... Aeros Manager TIM BOGAR has been named the Eastern League Manager of the Year for 2006. In his first season with the Aeros, Bogar has led his club to a league-best record of 79-51 (.608). The Aeros currently have a 9.0 game lead in the Southern Division standings and are poised to win the Southern Division regular season title for the fourth time in the past five seasons. Bogar was also selected by Baseball America as the "Best Manager Prospect" in the Eastern League this season.

MAKING HISTORY...The Aeros are in pursuit of setting some of the best and worst pitching and batting records in Indians AA History...

RECENT TRANSACTIONS...

-On Tuesday, August 29, the Aeros activated INF EIDER TORRES from the Disabled List and sent RHP DAN DENHAM to Triple A Buffalo. The Aeros also sent OF JUAN VALDES to Class A Lake County and received RHP MATT DAVIS from Class A Lake County.

OTHER ROSTER MOVES...

- On Monday, August 28, the Aeros received INF BRANDON PINCKNEY from Class A Kinston and placed INF IVAN OCHOA on the Disabled List with a strained right gluteus maximus muscle

- On Saturday, August 26, RHP DAN DENHAM returned to Akron from Triple A Buffalo...RHP MATT DAVIS was sent back to Class A Lake County

AS A TEAM...The Aeros lead the Eastern League in batting average (.272), hits (1240), runs (651), and stolen bases (172)...On the hill, Akron leads the Eastern League in shutouts (17) and is third in strikeouts (1018).
