LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville Bats outfielder Scott Schebler was named the International League Batter of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Schebler joins Daniel Wright (Pitcher of the Week, May 16-22) and Jermaine Curtis (Player of the Month, April), as award winners this season. Schebler is the first Louisville Bat to win the Batter of the Week award since Yorman Rodriguez from June 22-28 last season.

Schebler hit .318 with two home runs and nine RBI for the week. He also tied for the IL lead in total bases (18) and extra-base hits (5). Three of his four triples this season came last week and all in consecutive games from June 13-15, becoming the first Bat to triple in three straight since Norris Hopper from April 24-26, 2009 at Toledo.
