Syracuse Mets News Release

The Syracuse Chiefs have announced the addition of right-handed pitcher Koda Glover to the team's roster. Glover, promoted from Double-A Harrisburg, takes the roster spot of right-handed pitcher Abel De Los Santos, transferred to Harrisburg in a corresponding move.

Glover, a 23-year-old reliever from Monroe, Oklahoma, joins the Chiefs in only his second professional season. He began the season pitching seven scoreless outings for Potomac (9.2 IP, 3 H, 4 BB, 15 K) while converting three saves. Glover was promoted to Harrisburg in late April. With the Senators, he posted a 3.22 ERA in 17 games (22.1 IP, 20 H, 7 BB, 29 K) and converted four saves. Between the two spots this season, Glover owns a 2.25 ERA in 24 games, having struck out 12.4 batters per nine innings while holding opposing batters to a .198 average against.

Koda Glover was selected in the eighth round of the 2015 amateur draft out of Oklahoma State University. He also pitched one season at the junior college level with Eastern Oklahoma State. Last year, Glover pitched to a 1.80 ERA in 19 games between Short-Season-A Auburn and Class-A Hagerstown in his first professional season.

In 15 games with the Chiefs this season, De Los Santos owned a 3.54 ERA. He struck out 26 in 20 and one-third innings, allowing 25 hits and walking 13.

The Chiefs begin a five-game, four-day series with the Pawtucket Red Sox tonight at 7:05 p.m. at McCoy Stadium.
