Last Time Out:

The Wave enter this weekend's match following a 2-0 victory over Chicago Stars FC on March 28 at Snapdragon Stadium for the Club's third straight win. After a scoreless first half, San Diego broke through in the 56th minute when rookie Lia Godfrey finished a pass from Dudinha to open the scoring and score her third goal in consecutive matches. Melanie Barcenas then doubled the team's lead in the 72nd minute as she dribbled around Chicago's defenders towards the box and struck a shot towards the top of the net to seal the result.

Boston enters the match following a 2-1 loss to the Utah Royals. After conceding twice, the Legacy responded in the 72nd minute when Aïssata Traoré scored the first goal in club history, finishing a pass from Amanda Gutierres. Boston pushed for a late equalizer but was unable to find a second goal despite increased attacking pressure in the final minutes.

Players to Watch:

San Diego's Rookie Lia Godfrey has been a standout early in the season, scoring in three consecutive matches to earn NWSL Rookie of the Month, presented by Ally. All three of Godfrey's goals have managed to be game winners making her the sixth player in NWSL history to score the winning goal in three straight regular-season appearances and the first player in the league to score three match-winners within her first four NWSL games.

Boston forward Aïssata Traoré scored the Club's first-ever goal in the last match when she found a one-on-one opportunity with Utah's goalkeeper and slotted the ball into the net. The goal for Traoré was the first goal scored by a player from Mali in league history while Gutierres recorded the Legacy's first ever assist.
