Orlando Pride News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) announced today the 11 players named to the Best XI of the Month, presented by Prime, for the month of March by the NWSL Media Association and the NWSL's on-air broadcast talent. Seven teams are represented in the league's Top 11, with forward Barbra Banda representing the Pride. This is the first Best XI of the year for Banda after earning the recognition on three separate occasions in 2025 before an injury cut her season short.
Banda opened the season in record-setting form, scoring her first goal of the year in the Pride's season opener against Seattle Reign FC-a milestone that marked her 26th goal across all competitions and moved her past former Pride forward Alex Morgan for second-most goals in Club history. She followed with her second goal of the season against Denver Summit FC, becoming just the 13th player in NWSL history and the first Pride player ever to score on her birthday. Banda then continued her streak by netting her third goal in as many matches to start the campaign, extending her dominance over Chicago with five goals in her last three meetings against them, including braces in both the 2024 NWSL Playoffs and the Pride's 2025 season opener. Her latest finish also registered as her 24th career regular-season goal, once again surpassing Morgan for the second-highest regular season goals in Club history.
The Pride will be back in action tonight, April 3, at Inter&Co Stadium as they host Angel City FC. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
