Russell Returns to Nailers from AHL

WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers announce today that forward Bobby Russell has be assigned to the Nailers from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.

The Penguins recalled Russell on December 21. In 17 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton he has scored two goals for his only points and is playing at a +1 in the +/- category.

For the Nailers this season Russell has played 16 games and has 13 points on ten goals and three assists. He is also playing at a +2 in the +/- category. Russell is expected to be in uniform for the Nailers Wednesday night in Richmond.

The Nailers play two home games this weekend at the Wheeling Civic Center. On Friday night the Reading Royals are in town for Nailers Coffee Mug Night. The first 1,500 fans will receive a Nailers coffee mug courtesy of Emstar, OVMC and East Ohio Regional Hospital. On Saturday the Dayton Bombers are in town for WTOV-9 Rally Towel Night. The first 2,000 fans will receive a rally towel courtesy of WTOV-9, and all seats that night will be priced at $9.00. Both home games begin at 7:30p.m.
