TONIGHT: The Binghamton Rumble Ponies continue a three-game series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

LAST TIME OUT: The Rumble Ponies fell to the Flying Squirrels 4-1 Friday night. Richmond starter Brandon Beachy allowed just two hits and one run over six innings in the win. The Ponies have now dropped 4 straight at NYSEG Stadium. It is the first time this year Binghamton has lost to Richmond.

SANCHEZ HITTING STREAK: Ali Sanchez had a one-out double and scored the lone Ponies run in Friday night's game. Sanchez has now extended his season-high hitting streak to 11 games (6/1-6/21). Over that stretch: Sanchez is hitting .385 (15-39) wit h six RBI, five runs scored, and four doubles. The Longest hitting streak this year for a Binghamton player is Patrick Mazeika's 15-game streak (4/27-5/16).

NOGOSEK MAKES MLB DEBUT: Tuesday night former Rumble Ponies reliever Stephen Nogosek became the first 2019 Binghamton player to reach the major leagues. Nogosek made his debut Wednesday night with the New York Mets in Atlanta. He also pitched a scoreless eighth inning on Thursday night in Chicago against the Cubs. With the Rumble Ponies in 2019 he had a 0.95 ERA in 11 games.

WAY ABOVE AVERAGE: The Rumble Ponies have two players in the top five in batting average in the Eastern League. Braxton Lee is second at .295 and Ali Sanchez is fifth at .287

TODAY'S STARTER: RHP Andrew Church makes his first Rumble Ponies start of 2019. Church spent parts of 2018 and 2017 with Binghamton. This is his ninth career start with the Ponies. He was a second round pick of the Mets in 2013.

HOME COOKING: The Ponies are in the middle of a stretch where they are playing 13 of 16 games at NYSEG Stadium. So far they are 1-5 (1-2 against Trenton, 0-2 vs. Altoona) . After these three games against the Curve, they play 5 games over three days against the Erie SeaWolves. Binghamton though is only 10-18 in the Southern Tier.

SPEEDY SQUIRRELS: Richmond is 1st in the Eastern League with 73 stolen bases. Ponies catcher Ali Sanchez is tied for second in the EL in runners thrown out (17).

RICHMOND'S DEFENSIVE STRUGGLES: The Flying Squirrels had four errors last night. They are last in the EL with 79 errors.

COMING UP: The Ponies wrap up their three-game series with the Flying Squirrels Sunday afternoon with first pitch at 2:05 PM.
