NEWS AND NOTES
BACK TO THE SEA DOGS: The Portland Sea Dogs and Reading Fightin Phils (Phillies affiliate) meet for the 13th time this season, continuing their three-game series on Saturday night at Hadlock Field...Portland has dropped both games of the second half but has won 11 of their last 20 overall...Right-hander Denyi Reyes looks for back-to-back wins for the first time in his Double-A career...Lefty David Parkinson beat the 'Dogs on 4/6 at Hadlock Field, fanning ten over 5.0 IP.
OPENING DAY PART TWO: The Maine Whoopie Pies played their first game of the second half at Hadlock Field, and dropped the opener to Reading, 11-8 in 10 innings...Both teams exchanged six-run frames in the third, but Reading tie the game in the eighth inning...LHP Jonathan Hennigan (W, 1-1) earned the win with two perfect innings, and RHP Matthew Gorst suffered his fifth loss in extra-innings...1B Joey Curletta hit his second homer of the season.
