
Royals Sign OHL\'s Hisey

Reading, PA â The Reading Royals, affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and AHL's Manchester Monarchs, have announced that centerman Rob Hisey has signed a contract with the club for the remainder of the season.
Hisey, 20, is finishing a stellar Ontario Hockey League career with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, Erie Otters and the Barrie Colts. The Oakville, Ontario native averaged 1.14 points per game in his four-year OHL career. Hisey appeared in 270 OHL games and tallied 115 goals, 194 assists for 309 points, plus recorded 233 penalty minutes since 2001. Last season with the Erie Otters, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound centerman had his most impressive season offensively. In 63 contests, Hisey tallied 38 goals and 96 points along with 63 penalty minutes. He also appeared in eight playoff games and scored two goals and five points with eight minutes in penalties. He finished up the 2003-04 season with the Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League. In six playoff games professionally, he totaled three goals and nine points with four penalty minutes. Rob Hisey will wear sweater #9 and is expected in the Royals line up tomorrow when they host Toledo.
The Royals finish off the regular season at home searching for their fifth straight victory as they meet the Toledo Storm tomorrow in the Sovereign Center. It's Fan Appreciation Night in the Sovereign Center. The first 2,000 fans, 12-and-under, receive a Ryan Flinn Bobblehead. In addition, the first 3,000 adults receive a one-year subscription to the Sporting News. Ryan Flinn will be at the game signing autographs on the concourse! Reading and Toledo drop the puck at 7:05 p.m.
