Royals 'Opening Kick Off' Moved Up For Sunday

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the opening face-off for the team's game this Sunday (January 4, 2009) against the Dayton Bombers has been moved to 1:05 pm. In recognition of the Philadelphia Eagles' NFL playoff game to be played later that day, any fan who purchases a walk-up ticket to the Royals' game on Sunday while wearing some form of Eagles' gear will receive $5.00 off the walk-up ticket price. Royals' fans who also support the Eagles are encouraged to wear their green colors as the Royals help everyone warm up for playoff football with ECHL hockey action. Fans will also be able to watch the Eagles' game from The Corner Pub located inside the Sovereign Center, which will be open for the Eagles' game. The post-game skate scheduled for this Sunday will still be held immediately after the conclusion of the Royals' game against the Bombers.

Reading returns to action tonight (Tuesday, December 30, 2008 @ 7:05 pm), when the Royals face the Johnstown Chiefs. Tuesday's game will be broadcast live on the Royals Radio Network Presented by Transmissions by Arbogast (True Oldies WRAW 1340 am in Reading; and The Ticket WLAN 1390 am in Lancaster), as well as on the internet via webcast hosted by Sportsjuice.com, which can be accessed through the Royals website.
