Defenseman Murray Returns to Charlotte

Charlotte, N.C. - The Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League announced today that they have re-assigned defenseman Chris Murray to the Charlotte Checkers.

Murray, 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, is a second-year pro out of the University of New Hampshire. In 15 games with the Checkers this season, the native of Dover, MA tallied one assist and 40 penalty minutes. Murray has suited up in 13 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering three assists and 19 penalty minutes. Murray will be with the team as they battle the Florida Everblades on the road this week.

The Checkers are in their 16th season of play as a member of the ECHL. The next home game will take place Jan. 9th against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7 p.m. In the team's 15-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 11 times including four consecutive playoff appearances to date.
