Checkers Alter Start Time For January 10 Home Game

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Checkers COO Tera Black announced today that the team has altered the start time for the Saturday, January 10th contest which will now begin at 1:00 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena against the South Carolina Stingrays.

The team made this decision based on the desire to accommodate fans of both the Checkers and the Carolina Panthers who are playing a home playoff game scheduled for 8:15 p.m. on the same night. For more information about getting discounts on Checkers tickets please call 704-342-4-ICE.

The Checkers are playing their 16th season as a member of the ECHL. The next home game will take place Jan. 9th against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7 p.m. In the team's 15-year history, the Checkers have made the playoffs 11 times including four consecutive playoff appearances to date. The Checkers are in their fourth season of play at Time Warner Cable Arena. Season tickets are on sale now with full-season packages starting at just $396.
