Salmon Kings' Gendur Recalled To Manitoba

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today forward Dan Gendur has been recalled by the Manitoba Moose.

The Victoria, BC native began was originally assigned by Manitoba to the Salmon Kings on October 20th. Gendur has played in 26 games with Victoria collecting 24 points (5g-19a) and 42 minutes in penalties.

Gendur began this season and his professional career with the Moose participating in four games after signing a 3-year entry level contract with the Vancouver Canucks on October 1st. His was recalled by the Moose on December 12 and played in two games for the Moose collecting a goal and two minutes in penalties.

Prior to turning professional the 21-year-old played in the WHL for the previous four seasons with both the Everett Silvertips and the Prince George Cougars. Last season in 60 games he compiled 84 points (29g-55a) with Everett.

The 5-11, 190lb right winger was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks with their seventh round choice, 206th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Salmon Kings welcome the Bakersfield Condors to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Friday night for a 7:05 p.m. game. The two teams will meet on Saturday evening (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday afternoon (1:05 p.m.) also. Tickets are still available call 250-220-7777.
