Reading Royals News Release
Reading, PA - The Reading Royals and SUBWAY(r) Restaurants today announced a joint effort, "HELP HAITI, $1 AT A TIME," to raise money for the relief project focused upon assisting those in need after the recent earthquake in Haiti. Starting on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, and continuing through Sunday, February 14, 2010, paper lions' heads will be available for purchase at all Berks County SUBWAY(r) Restaurants for a minimum donation of one dollar. The lions' heads, which are designed in Royals' colors-purple, silver and white-will be displayed (along with the donor's name) on the wall of the restaurants. The paper lions also include a coupon valid for $5.00 off any 2009-10 regular season Royals' home game. All of the net proceeds from the sale and purchase of each lions' head will be donated to The American Red Cross's relief efforts in Haiti. More information on the efforts being undertaken by the Royals and SUBWAY(r) Restaurants to "Help Haiti, $1 at a Time" can be found on the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com.
