
Stingrays Gameday: Stingrays Battle Reading In $2 Beer Night

North Charleston, SC -The South Carolina Stingrays kick off a three-in-three home weekend tonight against the Reading Royals at 7:05 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum. Tonight is the third of five scheduled meetings between the two teams this season. The Stingrays faced the Royals in Reading back on November 7 and 8 skating away with a 1-0-0-1 record.
Tonight is $2 Beer Night at the Coliseum, but be sure to arrive early because the beer special only lasts until the end of the first period.
The Stingrays battle the Reading Royals tomorrow night, Saturday, January 23 for Pack the House Night! For one night only, the curtains of North Charleston Coliseum will be raised and every seat in the house is only $5! The lower level has completely sold out and less than 1,000 upper level seats remain! There is also FREE PARKING! In addition to Pack the House Night, the Stingrays will host a special ceremony to present the 2009 Kelly Cup Championship rings to the returning Stingrays players from that championship team. Note of the Night: Forward Keith Johnson has seven points (3g, 4a) in his last six games and leads the Stingrays with 39 points.
Getting Tricky Rookie Trevor Bruess recorded his first three goals of the season and his first professional hat trick last Sunday in the Stingrays' 5-4 overtime victory against the Gwinnett Gladiators.
Ricci Continues to Roll Stingrays forward Rob Ricci has three goals and three assists in his last five games. Ricci scored the overtime game-winning goal last Sunday against Gwinnett and recorded two assists.
