Waterloo, IA - St. Cloud (33-12) tied the game late against Waterloo (28-18), but gave up two eighth-inning runs to eventually fall 4-2 on Saturday evening.

The Rox still hold the best record in the Northwoods League after Saturday's action and are two games up in the second-half in the Great Plains West with a record of 9-4. For the full Northwoods League Standings, click here.

Andrew Pinckney (Alabama) started the Rox' scoring with an RBI single in the third inning. Pinckney was one of just two Rox batters with multiple hits tonight. The other was Nick Yovetich (San Francisco), who doubled twice during the game.

Hunter Dollander (Georgia-Gwinnett) only went three innings on the mound, but allowed just one run on two hits in another successful start. Dollander will represent the Rox during Tuesday night's All-Star Game in Mankato.

Nick Penick (St. John's University) made his debut performance and at one point retired 12 consecutive Waterloo batters. Penick was phenomenal until running out of steam in the eighth inning.

The Rox will finish off the two-game set with the Bucks on Sunday afternoon from Riverfront Stadium. First pitch from Waterloo is scheduled for 4:05 pm. The Rox return home to the Rock Pile after the all-star break to start a four-game homestand on Thursday, July 22.
