Traverse City, MI - The Pit Spitters ended their six-game winning streak Saturday with a 3-1 loss to the Kalamazoo Growlers.
Michael Stygles got the scoring started with a solo home run to right field in the second. His first homer of the year put the Spitters on top first for the ninth straight game.
The Growlers answered with three solo home runs of their own: Luke Storm in the second, Damon Lux in the fifth and David Coppedge in the seventh.
Zeb Roos continued his streak of being hit by a pitch, now at four games.
