Lincoln Saltdogs News Release

LINCOLN -- Jimmy Rohan had a monstrous night at the plate and Brandon Sinnery turned in another quality start as the Saltdogs (29-42) fended off the Laredo Lemurs (32-38) 8-6 at Haymarket Park Thursday night.

Rohan finished the night 4-for-4 with a double and four RBI, a walk and two runs scored.

Brandon Sinnery (2-0) pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on nine hits while walking one and punching out six. P.J. Zocchi pitched the ninth inning to pick up his 17th save.

The 'Dogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings, highlighted by a two-run triple from Sean Smith.

Laredo made things interesting with two runs - one unearned - in the eighth to cut the Lincoln deficit to 6-5, but 'Dogs added two of their own in the bottom half.

Smith ended up going 3-for-5 with a double, triple, three runs and two RBI.

The Saltdogs travel to Fargo to open a three-game series with the RedHawks beginning Friday night at 7:02 p.m. Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
