
Rob Schremp Assigned To Springfield

General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have assigned centre Rob Schremp to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
The 5'11", 200 pound forward from Syracuse, New York was recalled from Edmonton's AHL affiliate on December 2nd and scored three assists in four games with the Oilers.
Schremp, the Oilers' second choice (1st round), 25th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, made his season debut with Edmonton on December 3rd and scored his first career NHL point with an assist on Marc Pouliot's game-winning goal versus the Dallas Stars at Rexall Place. He also registered his first career NHL penalty minutes in that game with a hooking minor. In the Oilers next game, a 5-4 shootout win at Los Angeles on December 5th, Schremp scored a career-high two assists.
The 22-year old forward was Springfield's leading scorer at the time of his recall. He had scored one goal and a team-leading 17 assists in 18 games with the Falcons and was +5 with 10 penalty minutes.
