
San Jose Sharks recall forward Jamie McGinn from Worcester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Jamie McGinn from the Worcester Sharks, the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
McGinn was previously recalled to San Jose from Oct. 27 thru Nov. 7. He made his NHL debut with the Sharks on Oct. 28 against Pittsburgh, scored two points (1-1=2) against the Detroit Red Wings in his second NHL game and scored the game-winning goal on Nov. 4 vs. Minnesota. In five games, he posted three points (2-1=3).
In 22 games with Worcester, McGinn is fifth on the team in scoring with 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) and fourth in goals.
He was originally selected by San Jose in the second round (36th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
In a related move, the Sharks placed forward Jeremy Roenick on injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 11.
