Adirondack Phantoms News Release
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 17 - PHANTOMS VS. BINGHAMTON SENATORS, 7:05 PM - Wachovia Spectrum
The Phantoms face the Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators) for the fourth time this season. With a record of 13-9-2-3, the Senators sit in fifth place in the East Division, three points behind the Phantoms and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Left wing Ilya Zubov currently leads the team with 25 points on 10 goals and 15 assists. In the last meeting between the two teams on December 6 at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, Phantoms left wing Patrick Maroon became the first Phantoms player to record a five point game in two years as the Phantoms won 5-2.
FRIDAY, DEC. 19 - PHANTOMS VS. LOWELL DEVILS, 7:05 PM - Wachovia Spectrum
The Phantoms and Lowell Devils (New Jersey Devils) meet for the second of four scheduled meetings this season and first here in Philadelphia. Lowell is part of the tightly-packed Atlantic Division, and currently sit in seventh place - but just one week ago, they were in third place in the division. They remain just two points out of fifth place. Chad Wiseman recently put together a six-game scoring streak in which he scored six goals and added three assists for nine points.
SATURDAY. DEC. 20 - PHANTOMS VS. NORFOLK ADMIRALS, 7:05 PM - Wachovia Spectrum
The Phantoms battle the Norfolk Admirals (Tampa Bay Lightning) on Saturday in Norfolk's first visit of the season to the Wachovia Spectrum and Steve Downie's tentative return to the Spectrum. Downie was traded to the Lightning organization in the Matt Carle deal back in November, and is currently with the Admirals. He did return to Philadelphia earlier this month with Tampa Bay. The Admirals are currently seventh in the East Division, two points behind Albany. In their last meeting on October 29, Jared Ross scored in overtime to give the Phantoms a 5-4 win over the Admirals.
TOYS FOR TOTS COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND
The Phantoms will be teaming up with the Marine Corps this weekend for their annual Toys for Tots Drive at the Wachovia Spectrum. Fans are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the games and place it in the bins as they enter the building this weekend. Help the Phantoms brighten the holidays for those less fortunate by participating in this year's Toys for Tots drive.

GUENIN NOMINATED FOR PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Phantoms nominated defenseman Nate Guenin for Reebok/AHL Player of the Week honors this week. Guenin has been as valuable a contributor to the club's current five-game winning streak as the team's scoring and the goaltending, blocking several shots every game and making life very difficult for attacking forwards along the boards. Guenin's presence has been especially valuable on the power play.
NEWS AND NOTES
Claude Giroux has sprinted into a tie for the team lead in scoring and now leads all American Hockey League rookies in points. After recording two points over his first seven games, Giroux has collected 26 points in the last 21 games for the Phantoms dating back to a game at Norfolk on October 29. He has recorded at least one point in 16 of those 21 games.
Meanwhile, the other player leading the Phantoms in scoring, Danny Syvret, is at the top of the league's scoring list among defensemen. Syvret has five goals and 22 assists for 27 points. He's only ever scored 20 points in an entire professional season.
Scott Munroe is 7-1 in his last eight games. In the seven wins, he has posted a 1.85 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage.
The Phantoms have scored the game's first goal in each of the five games on their current winning streak. Philadelphia is 8-1 when scoring first this season.
