WEEK 16 - RIVERMEN ACTION (3-1-0-0)
Tuesday, January 15 - RIVERMEN 7 @ Hamilton 2
Peoria hit the mid-point of a season-long seven game road trip in high gear, downing the Hamilton Bulldogs 7-2 in Ontario. Mike Glumac scored a pair of power play goals including the game winner, and Nikolay Lemtyugov also scored twice in the victory. Jean-Guy Trudel set up Peoria's first three goals of the game to lead the team in points for the contest. Hannu Toivonen required just 21 saves to pick up his second win in Peoria this season.
Thursday, January 17 - RIVERMEN 4 @ Manitoba 2
The Rivermen opened a pair with the Moose in Manitoba by scoring the last three goals of the game in a 4-2 win. Nikolay Lemtyugov kicked off the scoring for Peoria, which also received single markers from Julian Talbot, Jeff Woywitka, and Yan Stastny. Hannu Toivonen made 24 saves for the win.
Friday, January 18 - RIVERMEN 2 @ Manitoba 1
Greg Classen put the Moose ahead 1-0 with the first period's only goal, but Chris Porter and Ryan Glenn would combine for a pair of second period markers that would make the difference in the game. Chris Beckford-Tseu made 31 saves in the game to earn the win, his fifth straight victory.
Sunday, January 19 - RIVERMEN 4 @ Milwaukee 5
Peoria's nine game win streak and 10 game road win streak finally came to an end as the Admirals outlasted the Rivermen 5-4 Sunday. The Rivermen fell behind in the game 4-2 before staging a third period rally to even the contest on goals from Jeff Woywitka and Charles Linglet with just under four minutes remaining. At 17:13 Cal O'Reilly came back to notch the goal that proved to be the dagger that killed the win streak and give the Admirals the victory.
