30 ROCK

Chicago collected its 30th win in its 41st game of the season last Saturday, becoming the second-fastest team to reach the plateau in franchise history. The Wolves' 30 victories through 42 outings this year trail only the Providence Bruins (33) for the most in the AHL.

WOLVES HEADLINERS

--- JASON KROG: Leads the AHL with 60 points and ranks second in the league with 40 assists in 42 outings ... Shares fifth in the circuit with 20 goals, which includes lighting the lamp twice in Saturday's win over Manchester, his fourth multi-marker game of the year ... Collected at least one point in 33 of his 42 tilts this season and in 74 of his 86 career regular-season games with the Wolves (46G, 94A)

--- BRETT STERLING: Recorded two points (PPG, A) on Sunday after being held to one assist in his previous four games ... Shares third in the AHL with 22 goals in 34 games, seven of which have been tallied with the man advantage ... Tied for third on the club with 38 points, which includes his 13th multiple point contest of the season on Sunday ... Ranks seventh in franchise history with 77 goals in 111 career games

--- BRYAN LITTLE: Collected six points (2G, 4A) in the last five games, which includes his fifth marker of the season on Sunday .. Accrued eight assists and 13 points in 18 matchups with Chicago since being assigned by the Atlanta Thrashers on Dec. 11

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Ranks fourth among active players in the AHL with an average of 1.40 points per game, racking up 21 (7G, 14A) in 15 matchups ... Skated in 16 games with the Atlanta Thrashers from Oct. 11 to Dec. 8, notching his first NHL points (G, 7A) ... Bagged 143 points (48G, 95A) in 88 career regular-season tilts with Chicago, 12th most in team history

--- ALEXANDRE GIROUX: Held scoreless in Sunday's loss, snapping a four-game point streak (4G, 3A) ... Ranks fifth on the team with 30 points and is tied for fifth with 12 goals in 33 games this season

WOLF TRACKS

--- Chicago's 61 points rank fourth in the AHL and trail only Rockford (64 points), which has played three more games, for the West Division lead; the Wolves visit the IceHogs at the Rockford MetroCentre on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

--- Chicago hosted a season-high 12,022 fans at the Allstate Arena during Saturday's 5-2 win over the Manchester Monarchs.

--- The Wolves will play both of their games on the road this week where the squad has recorded a 14-5-1-0 mark, including wins in six of its last seven.

--- Three Wolves are slated to play in the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic in Binghamton, N.Y., which begins with the skills competition on Sunday; left wing BRETT STERLING is part of the PlanetUSA team's starting lineup while center JASON KROG and blueliner JOEL KWIATKOWSKI, who is currently on NHL recall with the Atlanta Thrashers, were selected to the Canadian squad.

--- Sunday's 5-2 loss against Grand Rapids marked just the 12th time in 42 games this season the Wolves were held to two or fewer goals; Chicago leads the AHL with an average of 3.90 goals per game this season.

Wolves right wing JESSE SCHULTZ, who ranks second on the team with 27 assists and 41 points, will make two library visits on Tuesday as part of the team's Read to Succeed program, sponsored by Borders. --- Chicago fell behind 5-0 en route to dropping a 5-2 decision against the Grand Rapids Griffins at the Allstate Arena
--- Left wing BRETT STERLING paced the Wolves' offense with a power-play goal and an assist
--- Netminder ONDREJ PAVELEC recorded 32 saves in the loss

--- The Wolves reeled off five unanswered goals to bury an early 1-0 deficit en route to dropping the Manchester Monarchs, 5-2, before a season-high crowd of 12,022 fans at the Allstate Arena
--- JASON KROG notched two goals to lead a pack of five Wolves with multiple points
--- Goaltender ROBERT GHERSON stopped 29 shots

Fri., Jan. 18

--- The Wolves fell behind, 2-0, early in the second period but rallied with three straight goals for an eventual 3-2 victory at I Wireless Center
--- Forwards ALEXANDRE GIROUX, DARREN HAYDAR and JORDAN LaVALLEE scored for Chicago
--- Goaltender ONDREJ PAVELEC notched 29 saves on 31 shots

Wed., Jan. 16
Milwaukee 4, (at) Chicago 0
--- Chicago was outshot, 45-22, en route to being blanked 4-0 by the Milwaukee Admirals at the Allstate Arena
--- Goaltenders ONDREJ PAVELEC (29 saves on 33 shots) and ROBERT GHERSON
(12 saves on 12 shots) combined for 41 saves in PAVELEC's loss
