
Rivera Hits First Homer In 10-3 Loss To River Bandits

BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers (22-23) struggled in Thursday's against the Quad Cities River Bandits (29-14), losing 10-3, but Marcos Rivera hit his first home run of the season on a two-run shot to left-center field.
The River Bandits scored 10 runs in the first five innings, hitting four home runs. Down 10-0, the Snappers ended the shutout with a two-out RBI double from Nic Ready to score Troy Johnston. A batter later, Rivera hit his first home run of the season to make it 10-3 - the eventual final score.
Beloit's Top Performers: Johnston extended his hit streak to 13 games. Rivera went 2-for-3 with a homer. Andrew Nardi and Evan Brabrand each threw a scoreless inning out of the bullpen.
