Beloit Sky Carp News Release

BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers (22-22) got six innings and only one earned run out of their starter Zach McCambley, but a late rally from the Quad Cities River Bandits (28-14) secured a 4-3 win.

The River Bandits scored an early run in the top of the third with a solo home run from John Rave to take a 1-0 lead. However, that would be the only run McCambley would surrender, and his offense backed him up. The Snappers tied the game on an RBI walk and took the lead on a two-run single from Kameron Misner.

With the Snappers up 3-1, Beloit reliever Jake Walters gave up three runs in the top of the seventh. Down 4-3, the Snappers wouldn't recover and dropped game two of the series.

Beloit's Top Performers: Troy Johnston extended his hit streak to a season-high 12 games. Ynmanol Marinez went 2-for-3 with a walk. Misner drove in two.
