The Sacramento River Cats (66-43) lost 11-10 to the Iowa Cubs (53-55) in 10 innings on Sunday at Raley Field in West Sacramento, Calif. RHP Jeremy Fikac (2-3) took the loss for the Cats, allowing 1 ER on 3 H in 3.2 IP. He allowed the game-winning run, a solo home run by LF Midre Cummings in the 10th inning. RHP Willie Banks (1-0) earned the win for Iowa. He allowed no runs or hits in 3.0 IP in relief. LF Jose Flores and DH Mike Edwards each recorded 3 H for Sacramento. Edwards led the Cats' offense with 5 RBI. He and RF Mike Lockwood both homered in the game.

With the loss, the River Cats are now 2-7 in extra-inning games. Sunday's game marked the longest game (duration) of the season for Sacramento.
