NASHVILLE â After a 12-game trip, the road-weary Sounds return to the comfy confines of Greer Stadium for a nine-game, eight-day homestand, beginning on Tuesday with the first of five against the Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA-Marlins) and continuing on Saturday with four against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (AAA-Rockies).
The 7:00 p.m. opener on Tuesday features a Twizzlers Two-for-One promotion. Fans who turn in Twizzlers wrapper at the Greer Stadium box office will receive one free ticket when purchasing one ticket of equal or greater value. Additionally, it is an Applebee's Neighbor Night. Fans who purchase two items from the BBQ Fever menu at any Middle Tennessee Applebee's restaurant receive a voucher for two (2) tickets.
Wednesday night's 7:00 contest is ACTeens Buyout Night. The ACTeens group, which consists of over 10,000 teenage girls, has bought out Greer Stadium. Tickets are not available to the general public.
The Sounds and Isotopes will make up an April 10 rainout with a doubleheader on Thursday, with the first of two seven-inning games starting at 5:00 p.m. That night's Thirsty Thursday promotion has been extended, meaning draft beverages will be $1 until the third inning of the second game. It is also a Shedd's Spread Country Crock Pack the Park Night. Fans bringing in a Shedd's Spread Country Crock lid will receive six (6) free "best available seat" tickets.
Friday's 7:00 series finale features a giveaway of Ozzie bobbleheads. The first 2,000 fans through the Greer Stadium gates will receive a bobblehead of Nashville's popular mascot. Friday is also Recycling Night at the ballpark. Fans are encouraged to return old phone books for a chance to win some great prizes, including a hot-air balloon ride. Recycling-related games and activities will be held between innings, and hats will be given away to the first 250 children at the game.
Nashville's series with Colorado Springs begins on Saturday with a 6:00 p.m. game that includes a post-game fireworks show. The game also features the appearance of Guru, the latest mascot to stop by at Greer. It is also Boy Scout Night. Troops will have the opportunity to spend the night on the field following the game then receive breakfast in the morning.
Saturday's game is another Cricket Kick the Phone Habit Night â a night where fans can turn in old home phones for two free tickets. Following the game, fans will have the opportunity to toss phones into a garbage can for a chance at winning a free Cricket phone for a year as well as chances to win prizes like throwing out the first pitch at a future Sounds game and a spot on the best seat in the house, the Cricket Couch. Saturday's game marks the Sounds' fourth Summer Reading Club day. Reading Club participants that have reached their reading goals have the opportunity to see a baseball game and march in a parade on the field during pre-game warm-ups.
Sunday's 6:00 game is for the dogs. It is Bark in the Park night, when pups can join their owners in the general admission seats free of charge. There will be a pre-game dog parade as well as a chance to adopt a canine, courtesy of the Nashville Humane Society. Sunday is also Family Day. Children 12 and under are admitted free with a paying adult. Fans will also have a chance to have their Sounds memorabilia signed by their favorite players during a 15-20 minute autograph session, starting at 5:25 p.m. The game is another Shedd's Spread Country Crock Pack the Park Night. Fans bringing in a Shedd's Spread Country Crock lid will receive six (6) free "best available seat" tickets.
