
NASCAR Great to Appear at Zephyr Field

METAIRIE â The New Orleans Zephyrs are pleased to announce that NASCAR great Michael Waltrip will appear at Zephyr Field on Monday August 4th as the Z's take on the Las Vegas 51's as part of "Salute to NASCAR Night".
Waltrip will be at Zephyr Field to throw out the first pitch, talk to the crowd and sign autographs for the hundreds of fans who are selected during a special pre game drawing. The game is scheduled to start at 7:05 PM but the drawing to see who meets Waltrip starts at 6:00 PM. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Fans will also have the opportunity throughout the game to win autographed Waltrip merchandise, NASCAR collectibles and other great racing memorabilia.
Waltrip has three career Winston Cup victories including the prestigious 2003 Daytona 500 and is currently sixth in the Winston Cup Series points race. He also has nine career Busch Series victories.
