West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats fell to the Las Vegas 51s, 10-0, at Raley Field on Saturday night. Las Vegas pummeled the Cats a total of 13 hits on the night. Vegas starter Eric Stults silenced the Sacramento bats, at one point retiring 18 consecutive batters en route to the 3-hit shutout. Both River cats hits came from hitters playing their first game of the season for the Cats (infielder Andrew Beattie and catcher Raul Casanova). River Cats starter Shane Komine took his 5th loss of the season giving up 9 hits, 8 runs (all earned), one walk with 6 strike outs in 5 1/3 innings of work. Sacramento falls to 29-26 with the loss, 2.0 games back of first place Tucson in the PCL Pacific Conference's Southern Division.
