Sidewinders childrens train returns with new look

Tucson Sidewinders News Release

Tucson, AZ - The popular Kid's Korner train will return to Tucson Electric Park with a new look and a new engine under the hood just in time for the Sidewinders 8-game home stand. The children's train had been so popular during its six years of usage that it necessitated a new engine, but the new look came as a bonus.

Locally based Stretched American Steel, owned by renowned metal fabricator Keith Gallager, oversaw the creative design of the new look, transforming an engine similar to a suped-up lawn mower into a train ride suitable for a theme park.

The train runs on the outfield concourse during all Sidewinders home games with rides costing just $1 Thursday through Sunday. Unlimited ride wristbands for the Giant Slide, Jumping Castles, Obstacle Course, and Acu-Pitch, in addition to the train, are available for $5 and wristbands and a kids meal are just $8. All Kids Korner attractions are free Monday through Wednesday.

The Sidewinders current 8-game home stand against Portland and Salt Lake lasts through Sunday, May 11th. Good seats remain for all games of the homestand. The Tucson Electric Park box office can be reached at (520) 434-1021. Gates open one hour before game time unless otherwise noted.
