RHP Shane Lindsay Designated for Assignment

The Aeros made a roster move as the Cleveland Indians organization designated RHP Shane Lindsay for assignment yesterday.

Lindsay is a 25-year-old Australia native who appeared in four games for Akron over the past month. He was 0-0 with a 2.08 ERA in his four relief outings with seven strikeouts and seven walks in 4.1 innings pitched. The Indians originally claimed him off waivers from the New York Yankees organization on June 1st after he began the season with the Colorado Rockies organization for Class AAA Colorado Springs. Baseball America named him as the 23rd best prospect in the Rockies system prior to this season and he has made 14 career relief appearances in Class AAA.

No corresponding move has been made and the Akron roster currently stands at 23 men.
