New Britain Rock Cats News Release

New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League had two roster moves today, with each involving a Relief Pitcher.

RHP Chris Province, the 25-year-old native of Slidell, LA who has worked all season out of the New Britain bullpen, has been promoted to Rochester in the Triple-A, International League. The 6'3"/220 hurler was acquired by Minnesota from Boston last December in exchange for former Rock Cat, RHP Boof Bonsor. In 29 appearances for the 2010 Rock Cats, Province posted a record of 2-1 - with 4 Saves - and a 5.48 ERA. He was originally picked by the Red Sox in the 4th Round out of Southeastern Louisiana University in the 2007 Draft; this will be his first trip to the Triple-A classification.

RHP Billy Bullock, the 22-year-old hurler taken by the Twins out of the University of Florida with their 2nd Round pick (70th overall) in the 2009 Draft, joins the Rock Cats today from Ft. Myers in the Single-A, Florida State League. The former `Gator served as the Miracles' closer this season - just his second in professional ball - and posted 45 Strike Outs in 37.1 total innings of work. The 6'6"/225-pound reliever was 4-0 in his first season (2009) in the Twins' system; he departs Ft. Myers with a record of 0-4, an ERA 3.62, and 14 Saves in 16 Save Opportunities.

Both moves are effective immediately.
