Reign Add Forward Sam Herr to Roster

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that forward Sam Herr has joined the Reign on an amateur tryout agreement.
Herr (pronounced HAIR), 23, recently completed a four-year collegiate career at Notre Dame where he served as an alternate captain the last two seasons and recorded 64 points (36 goals, 28 assists) in 132 career games. The Hinsdale, Illinois, native helped the Fighting Irish to a CCHA Championship in 2012-13 and was named the Hockey East Best Defensive Forward following his senior year.
Before joining the NCAA ranks, Herr skated with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL for two seasons and captured a Clark Cup Championship in 2012.
The Ontario Reign continue a four-game road trip tonight, Friday, April 1 against the Stockton Heat at 7:30 p.m. at Stockton Arena in Stockton, California and return to Citizens Business Bank Arena for the final regular-season home game on Friday, April 8 against the Bakersfield Condors at 7:00 p.m. Join the Reign for Fan Appreciation Night, Sprouts Grocery Bag Giveaway and $2 20oz.
