Pair Recalled by Anaheim

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that goaltender Anton Khudobin and center Chris Wagner have been recalled by the Anaheim Ducks, San Diego's National Hockey League affiliate. Additionally, goaltender Ryan Faragher has been recalled from the Utah Grizzlies, San Diego's ECHL affiliate, and center Kalle Kossila has signed an amateur tryout (ATO) agreement with the Gulls.

Khudobin, 29 (5/7/86), has appeared in eight games with Anaheim this season, posting a 3-3-0 record with a 2.70 goals against average (GAA) and a .908 save percentage (SV%). A native of Ust-Kamenogorsk, KAZ, Khudobin has gone 19-7-3 in 30 games with San Diego this season, posting a 2.40 GAA and a .922 SV%.

Wagner, 24 (5/27/91), has appeared in 11 games with Anaheim this season, going scoreless with 17 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-0, 195-pound center began the season with Anaheim before being claimed on waivers by Colorado on Nov. 15. After 26 games with Colorado, in which Wagner collected four goals (4-0=4), he was claimed on waivers by Anaheim on Feb. 25. Wagner has appeared in 15 games with San Diego this season, recording 6-4=10 points with 22 PIM and a +1 rating.

Faragher, 25 (7/3/90), has appeared in four games with San Diego this season, posting a 1-3-0 record with a 3.37 GAA and a .895 SV%. A native of Thunder Bay, ONT, Faragher has appeared in 41 games with Utah this season, posting a 24-13-4 record with a 2.33 GAA and a .917 SV%.

Kossila, 22 (4/14/93), recorded 14-40=54 points in 41 games with the St. Cloud State University Huskies (NCHC) this season and led his team to the 2015-16 NCHC Frozen Faceoff Championship. The Kauniainen, Finland native ranked tied for fifth in the nation and led the Huskies in points, assists, points per game (1.32) and faceoff win percentage (58.1%). Kossila tallied 48-105=153 points in four seasons (157 games) with St. Cloud State from 2012-16. The 5-10, 187-pound senior finished his career ranked tied for second in career assists and sixth in scoring among St. Cloud State all-time leaders.
