MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis Redbirds continued a 12-game homestand with a 6-4 win over the Iowa Cubs at AutoZone Park on Thursday night.

Memphis took the lead from the jump as center fielder Richie Palacios and shortstop Masyn Winn drilled back-to-back home runs to lead off the bottom of the first inning. The consecutive homers were the seventh time the Redbirds have hit back-to-back home runs this season. After the third inning, Memphis held a 6-0 lead.

Grant Black started the bullpen day for Memphis and tossed 4.0 shutout innings, allowed three hits, walked three and struck out a pair. Tommy Parsons (1-6) earned his first win of the season with three innings in relief.
