(MOOSIC, PA) - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders topped the Buffalo Bisons 5-1 on Thursday night. Everyone in the starting lineup reached base successfully at least once.

The RailRiders got on the board early with a run in the second. Jamie Westbrook walked to reach and Brandon Lockridge's base hit brought him home.

Buffalo tied it up immediately in the bottom half. Orelvis Martinez drew a walk off a pitch clock violation from Randy Vasquez. A hit and a walk loaded the bases for the Bisons. Cam Eden laced a line drive to left making it one apiece.

In the next frame, the visiting team got ahead again, and for good, with a 2-1 advantage. Oswaldo Cabrera began with a walk and moved into scoring position thanks to Austin Wells. An RBI single from Franchy Cordero sent Cabrera racing home.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre got the offense really going in the sixth inning. Lockridge had a knock to get aboard and crossed the plate thanks to Estevan Florial's double. Cabrera followed with a run-scoring single off his own. A base hit from Wells and a walk from Andres Chaparro loaded the bases. A ground ball off the bat of Cordero sent in Cabrera for a 5-1 lead.

Randy Vasquez got the start allowing just one run in four innings. He recorded seven strikeouts. Zach Greene (W, 1-0) went his longest outing of the season with two and two thirds clean. Matt Bowman had three strikeouts in his scoreless appearance. Greg Weissert slammed the door shut in the ninth.

Buffalo gave the opening to Hayden Juenger who threw two innings of work. The home team utilized five other arms in a bullpen game.

The RailRiders take on the Bisons tomorrow at 7:05 PM. Righty Will Warren is scheduled to make the Friday night start.
