Red Wings Recall Goalie Elliot

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Cincinnati Mighty Ducks goaltender Jason Elliott was recalled by the NHL Detroit Red Wings under emergency conditions Saturday.

Elliott replaces Dominik Hasek, who is recovering from a sore back.

Elliott has played 38 games with Cincinnati this season, posting a 10-14-6 record with a 2.64 goals-against average and .909 save percentage.

Gregg Naumenko has been recalled from Dayton of the East Coast Hockey League to take Elliott's spot on the Cincinnati roster.

Naumenko has combined for a 17-8-7 record with a 2.98 goals-against average and .901 save percentage in 33 games between Augusta and Dayton in the ECHL this season. He has played six games with Cincinnati this season, going 2-4-0 with a 2.52 goals-against average and .930 save percentage.
