He need five games to pass Steve Brule for second place on the all-time (394) list and another 17 games to move by the leader, current assistant coach Geordie Kinnear (406). The Albany River Rats have killed off 14 consecutive power play chances against and 25 of the last 26 to move up to ninth on home ice (88.9%) and 14th overall (86.4%). LW Joe Hulbig recorded his 200th professional point with an assist on Wednesday night against Providence.
Community Calendar:
The Albany River Rats hockey team & coaching staff will donate and deliver holiday gifts to the children of the St. Anne Institute Pre School program for the third straight year at 12:00pm. The Institute's Pre School program is designed to meet the needs of three and four year-old children whose speech, language or behavioral problems could play a part in future education failure, and is structured to ensure that the children receive the specialized care they require.
The River Rats will be busing after a Pepsi Arena practice, courtesy of Yankee Trails Bus Company, which has donated transportation for the cause. The St. Anne Institute is located at 160 North Main Avenue in Albany and can be reached at (518) 437-6500
