IceCats Reassigned Forward

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau today announced that the Blues have reassigned forward Jeff Heerema to the IceCats on a conditioning stint.

Heerema, 23, made his Blues debut on Oct. 10 at Phoenix, while collecting his first point/goal with St. Louis on Oct. 24 at Calgary. The 6-1, 190-pound forward has appeared in 13 games this season, recording two points and four penalty minutes with St. Louis: 13(1/1/2)4. His NHL totals reflect 23 NHL games played, with five points (four goals, one assist) and six penalty minutes.

The Thunder Bay, Ontario native was claimed by St. Louis on waivers on Oct. 3, 2003 and was originally Carolina's first choice, 11th overall in the 1998 Entry Draft.

The IceCats are on the road for three straight games, before returning to Worcester's Centrum Centre for a 7:05 face-off with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday, December 19th.
