Rangers Assign Marek Hrivik to Hartford

NEW YORK - New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has assigned forward Marek Hrivik to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Hrivik skated in four games with the Rangers after being recalled on Feb. 21, registering one assist and posting a plus-two rating. He made his NHL debut on Feb. 21 vs. Detroit and tallied his first career NHL assist/point on Feb. 23 at New Jersey.

The 6-2, 205-pounder has skated in 52 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering seven goals and 21 assists for 28 points, along with 16 penalty minutes. At the time of his recall, Hrivik led the Wolf Pack in assists, ranked second in points, was tied for second in shorthanded goals (one), and ranked third in shots on goal (118) this season.
