QUOTES
"[San Antonio] came out pretty hard in the first period, but we were ready. This was our only game this weekend, so we were able to match their intensity. We scored three in that second period and were able to hold onto that lead the rest of the way." - Kevin Poulin with his thoughts on tonight's game.
"We're pretty satisfied with our play at home here of late. 12 out of 13 is huge for us because of our spot in the standings - every game is huge for us from here forward." - Poulin on the Heat's success at home of late.
"[Emile Poirier] and [Austin Carroll] did a good job of getting in on the forecheck. Carroll got me the puck and Poirier got to the front of the net for the screen. I just kind of threw it on net and fortunately it found its way to the back of the net." - Bill Arnold on his first goal since returning from a lower body injury.
"Assistant Coach Domenic Pittis does a great job making sure we have our legs back before we get into games. I felt like I had some opportunities those first couple games back, but tonight I finally got that bounce. It definitely felt good." - Arnold on how he feels four games into his return to the lineup.
"I guess sometimes against certain teams the games just match your style and that's kind of how it's been with me against San Antonio this year. I've just been getting the bounces in those games and it's nice to do it against my old team." - Freddie Hamilton on his success against the Rampage this season.
"There were stretches tonight where I thought we played well and other stretches where I thought we were on our heels, but again when we're on our heels [Kevin Poulin] was there. [San Antonio] played very hard, but we found a way to win and that's an important two points for us." - Head Coach Ryan Huska on the play of Kevin Poulin tonight and his overall thoughts of tonight's win.
"We have to find a way and I think it's the simplicity. There are nights when we complicate things and make things a little more difficult on ourselves than they need to be. We have to make sure we play hard and play simple and that's extra important on the road." - coach Huska on the keys to transferring home success to the road.
